It’s about that time of the year when summer has ended and people are now applying for jobs and internships. You applied to some places and they didn’t call you back, while others sent depressing emails rejecting you with no clear reason of why you didn’t receive the position. When you’re young and are constantly rejected, it can be a very hurtful feeling and could lower your self-esteem. If you’re this person, you should realize that EVERYONE experiences rejection. In addition, I have a few tips that may help you fight your rejection.

First, you should learn from your rejection. Review the materials, analyze what you did wrong and try to fix it for the next position. Ask yourself, how can I do better next time? Second, you should to move on and apply for other positions. That job may have rejected you but there are plenty of jobs and internships that are available and will be available in the future. You probably would have done a better job than those who were actually chosen.  My last and final tip is to try not to take it too personal. Try to leave your emotions out of it as much as possible. We tend to take it personal when we are rejected, but we should look more at our experience and credentials for the job. Moreover, always keep in mind that someone out there will hire you!
